In March 2008, the team of North Island and Centennial (organized as North Island/Centennial Contractors Joint Venture, LLC; i.e., NICC JV), was awarded two job order contracts with the Naval Facilities Engineering Command (NAVFAC), Washington. These competitively bid, firm-fixed price, indefinite quantity JOCs for multi-trade maintenance, repair, alteration, and minor new construction at multiple NAVFAC locations in the Washington, DC region were the first contracts awarded to North Island under the SBA’s Mentor-Protégé Program. The program encourages private-sector relationships which enhances the capability of 8(a) participants to compete more successfully for federal government contracts.
Since 2008, the NICC JV brand has expanded to include five other independent joint venture companies through competitively bid procurements (see links below). Together, North Island’s personnel resources and experience and Centennial’s history and previous success as a mentor demonstrate our ability and our commitment to provide customer satisfaction, timely delivery, fair and reasonable pricing, and concern for the interests of our clients.
North Island and Centennial’s successful experience in performing work together at military installations throughout the country is a demonstration of the joint ventures’ abilities to seamlessly integrate with Government personnel and end users. NICC staff pride themselves on being immediately responsive, flexible, committed to providing courteous and quality service, capable of aggressively monitoring schedules, and driven to meet completion times. NICC joint ventures are committed to achieving 100% client satisfaction through the application of effective systems and procedures specifically tailored to each client.
